I am a recent college graduate of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, where I received a B.S. in Biological Sciences, a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Medicine and Society, and a Scholar in Health Studies diploma. I have always been fascinated with medicine and chose to pursue a medical career from a young age; however, once I got to college and began taking medical humanities courses, I realized that health is so much more than pharmaceuticals and physicians. Healthcare is an interprofessional collaboration between fields of nutrition, physical activity, physical health, and emotional wellbeing. I became very fascinated in the mind-body experience of medicine, which is why I am here. Since graduation, I have become a certified Reiki Level II Practitioner and am currently in the process of completed a Master Food Volunteer program, after which I will be able to perform cooking demonstrations and participate in various nutritional activities in my community. Although I am by no means a medical professional, registered dietician, or clinical nutritionist, I am excited to share my knowledge via recipes and blog posts with you all and really hope you enjoy my content!
